My Approach to Birth Support

Birth support should be calm, evidence-based, and deeply personalized.

I support families through pregnancy, labour, and birth with continuous emotional, physical, and informational care—helping you feel informed, supported, and confident in your choices as they unfold.

Emotional safety, continuity of care, and respect for all birth choices are central to my practice and the standard of care I provide as a birth doula.

Who Doula Support Is For

  • ✓ Families seeking a calm, informed birth experience

Hospital, home, or birth centre births

People wanting continuous emotional support in labour

All families, all identities, all walks of life

  • You can hire a doula at any stage of pregnancy, but many families book between the second and early third trimester to ensure availability and allow time for prenatal preparation.

Client intake is intentionally limited to ensure each family receives consistent, personalized, and attentive support throughout their care journey. It’s best to reach out as early as possible to confirm availability around your estimated due date.

  • A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during a hospital birth, including c-sections. Benefits may include reduced anxiety, improved communication with care providers, comfort techniques during labour, and overall increased satisfaction with the birth experience.

  • A doula is not a medical provider and does not perform clinical tasks such as diagnosing conditions, delivering babies, prescribing medication, or making medical decisions. The focus is on emotional, physical, and informational support alongside your medical team.

Doula support complements care provided by midwives, OBs, or other healthcare providers.

  • Natural Rhythm Doula Care provides in-person support throughout Hamilton, Burlington and the Niagara Region. Virtual support may also be available depending on your needs and stage of care.

Support may extend to surrounding communities depending on location and availability. It’s best to inquire directly about your specific area.
